Lucy in the Sky with Stars
Original title: Люси в звёздном небе
Urban romance and oddity under a psychedelic-pop title — meetings that only hold in one place, and what happens when the map tilts.
Lucy in the Sky with Stars (Люси в звёздном небе; Vimeo title “Luci in the Sky with Stars”) is the middle panel of Sasha Poberailo’s City Stories triplet with I’ve Ordered You Some Coffee and It Seems… The short mixes café two-shots, autumn-park solitude, night city bridges, and surreal inserts (forest with glowing green FX; a comic “weatherman” against a world map). Key art from Bommer Brothers era labels the film and credits Mia (Valery Zybina) among faces — curly-haired women on steps as a signature image. Multi-hyphenate production; IMDb lists a Man-at-the-Bar cameo for Poberailo. Title nods to Beatles/psychedelic pop while the craft stays Kharkiv independent. Linked narratively to Kostet’s universe (coffee-bar / pickup cycle → Dirty Russian).

Themes
City Stories middle panel
One node in a triplet: same city, different temperature — romance and oddity between coffee-bar talk and pickup comedy.
Meeting places & parallel maps
Café tables, parks, night bridges, and comic map/FX inserts suggest intimacy that may only hold in special loci — or in another weather of the world.
Pop title, DIY body
Beatles/psychedelic echo in the name; production is multi-hyphenate independent craft, not a music-video pastiche only.
Autumn solitude
Orange jacket in dead leaves, forest with green FX — the short’s visual grammar of waiting and unreality.
Characters
Mia
Named on Bommer Brothers key art as Міа (Валерій Зибіна) — curly-haired woman of the two-shot steps / scarf frames.
Companion / romantic pair
Partner across café, park, and night bridge scenes — the other half of the meeting rule.
Man at the Bar
Director cameo listed on IMDb for this title.
